R.T.I. - Response to Intervention
At AEA we recognize that every student has strengths and talents. We also recognize that some students need some extra help to meet the grade level standards. To address these needs AEA is developing a "Response to Intervention" (RTI) program. Essentially, the program operates on benchmark and periodic assessments, along with class observations to identify which kids need extra help. We have dedicated credentialed staff to create the assessments, analyze the data, and develop the intervention activities. By analyzing trends in the data we can target which skills and which kids need to be focused on. Our responsive intervention program will maximize resources, time, and student effort as we work to get all of our students meeting proficiency definitions set by the State Standards for education.
